The Domain

The Domain is one of Sydney's most impressive locations for outdoor events, and will return in 2017 to host some of the biggest events on the Sydney Festival calendar.

Bring a hamper, a blanket and your friends and settle in for a free concert under the stars at Symphony in the Domain on January 14 or bask in the power of the human voice at Opera in the Domain on January 21. 

While we want guests to enjoy their Sydney Festival experience at the Domain, patrons are reminded of the following guidelines:
- No pegging into the ground or reserving of unattended areas
- No high chairs or beach umbrellas
- No plastic sheeting or ice on the grass as this kills the lawn
- The Domain concerts are Waste Wise Events so please recycle using the waste system provided and help save our environment.

GETTING THERE

Train: The closest train stations are Martin Place (10 minute walk) and St James (10 minutes via Hyde Park to Prince Albert Rd).
Bus:The Domain is on the Sydney Explorer Bus route.

ACCESS

At Symphony in The Domain and Opera in The Domain, an accessible viewing area for patrons with accessibility needs is located on the eastern side of The Domain between towers 6 and 7. Friends and family are welcome in the designated viewing area as well.

The Domain precinct is relatively flat but does have inclining and declining sealed pathways throughout. We provide accessible amenities, a drop-off and pick-up area and limited parking close to this viewing area.

Registration is essential to access the viewing and parking area. Bookings canbe made from Monday 7 November 2016 on 02 8006 5700.

Inside the Venue
Accessible toilets are located in the Yurong Precinct and Cnr of Art Gallery Rd and Hospital Rd.


RESTAURANTS AND BARS

Plenty of food and drink options will be available from early afternoon to evening, and wine and beer will be available at the Festival Bars.

All food and drink vendors in The Domain will display an international wheelchair symbol on their counter. If you require assistance when purchasing from any of these vendors, please make your way to that area and a staff member will assist you.
