Seymour Centre

Located in the heart of the University of Sydney, the Seymour Centre is a vibrant arts hub in the Inner West, with three separate theatre spaces, the Sound Lounge music bar, expansive foyers and large leafy courtyard. The Seymour presents a diverse range of contemporary performing arts and is home to a number of innovative performance companies. Each year the Seymour welcomes over 250,000 people through its doors including audiences, theatre creators, directors, designers, performers and students.

With an impressive 40 year history of presenting, promoting and developing great Australian performances, the Seymour is a dynamic urban hub for quality arts experiences presented in one of Sydney’s most relaxed and accessible theatre environments.

GETTING THERE

Train: The closest train stations are Redfern (7 minute walk) and Central (20 minute walk). 
Bus: Routes 422, 423, 426, 428 depart from bus stand A at Circular Quay passing via Castlereagh St, Railway Square and Central train station.
Parking: Parking is available on-campus at the University of Sydney or in the Shepherd St multi-story ticketed car park which is located on the corner of Cleveland and Shepherd Streets. Access to the Seymour Centre is through Level 3 of the car park.

ACCESS

A lift is located in the main foyer area with access to all foyers and theatres within the centre. Toilets are fully accessible and wheelchair seating is available in all venues. Access parking and drop off is located on Maze Crescent at the Darlington Campus, the University of Sydney.
