Join us in Prince Alfred Square to kick off the 2017 Circus City program with a small community event to celebrate the arrival of the Spaghetti Circus Big Top and mark the beginning of 10 days of circus thrills.

See the Big Top aglow in festoon lighting and soak up the carnival atmosphere as the sun sets with the Low Down Riders, a Sydney five piece, bringing a touch of New Orleans street music to the Victorian bandstand.

Sydney Trapeze School artists will treat the public to thrilling aerial displays on the outdoor trapeze rig and there will be roving performers from the Spaghetti Circus. 

We’ll have a free sausage sizzle for those who arrive early. Pack a picnic and bring the family along for a relaxing summer evening outdoors.

Family friendly and suitable for all ages. No alcohol, no glass. Non-alcoholic beverages on sale throughout the event.
