Australian Exclusive

Directed by Dimitris Papaioannou.
With Prokopis Agathokleous, Drossos Skotis, Costas Chrysafidis, Christos Strinopoulos,Kalliopi Simou, Pavlina Andriopoulou & Dimitris Papaioannou.

Fusing elements of theatre, movement, art installation and philosophy,Still Life is a visual symphony.

Inspired by surrealism, the myth of Sisyphus and the theatre of the absurd, the performance unravels as a series of strange and spectacular feats: a man wrestling with a block of concrete, a woman bursting out of a wall, human beings toiling and tussling with the earth itself.

Still Life is a hallucinatory vision from Dimitris Papaioannou, director of the Athens Olympics opening and closing ceremonies. With its universal themes, it has struck a chord with audiences everywhere from Stockholm to Santiago and São Paulo.

Brilliant. An intelligent, engaging, and superbly-performed Greek work.
…a silently howling, existential drama
